Han Jun

Vice Chairman, Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs

Han Jun, born in December 1963, completed Ph.D at Northwest A&F University in 1989, and worked for Rurul Development Center of the State Council. In 1990 and 2000, he worked for Rural Development Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He began his career in Development Research Center of the State Council in 2001 as Director-general of the Research Development of Rural Economy of DRC. In Oct. 2008, He became a member of Leading Party Group of Development Research Center of the State Council. From Oct. 2010 to Oct. 2014,He worked as Vice President (Vice Minister), Development Research Center of the State Council. He is now working as Vice Chairman, Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs. He focused particularly on issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, and was awarded with Sun-Yefang Economics Scholarship, China Development Research Prize and “Three Hundred” original published project Award. Representatives of his include: Rural China Survey, Researches on the Concern about Countries Finance and Farmer’s Burden; Chinese Food safety strategy. His social positions include graduate and doctor supervisor of CASS, adjunct professor and post-doctoral co-supervisor of Tsinghua University, etc.
