ZHANG Laiming

Vice President (Vice Minister), Development Research Center of the State Council

Mr. Zhang Laiming, Han nationality, was born in August 1964, Jinhu County, Jiangsu Province. He graduated as Master of Laws from law School of Peking University in July 1987. From July 1987 to May 1991, he worked in China Foreign Affairs University as a professor. After that till March 2013, he has been working in Central Policy Research Office successively as research fellow in vice-division level and department-level in Political Study Group, deputy Director of Political Research Bureau and International Bureau, Director of International Bureau and deputy secretary general of Central Policy Research Office (Meanwhile from May 1995 to May 1996, he took a temporary post as the deputy secretary of Dingxing County, Hebei province.) In March 2013, he was appointed as the deputy director and CPC Leading Group member of the Development Research Center of the State Council. He has long been engaged in the research work on politics, laws, social development and international affairs.
